About this file
This document is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division, Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) to procure DT-511C and DT-592D hydrophones and spare parts. The contract requires a manufacturer to design, document, fabricate, test, package, and deliver up to three First Article hydrophones for each type, followed by up to 650 production hydrophones and up to 100 spare parts per type. The five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (ID/IQ) contract will be firm fixed-price and supports the Navy's hydrophone inventory for fleet needs, including surface ships and submarines.
Key technical requirements include multiple configuration review stages, first article testing, production acceptance testing, and detailed documentation of engineering changes. The hydrophones must meet specific Critical Item Performance Specification (CIPS) requirements, with funding sources including Other Procurement Navy (OPN), Operation & Maintenance Navy (O&MN), and Foreign Military Sales (FMS). Sponsors include PMS 392 In-Service Submarines, PMS 396 In-Service Strategic Submarines, PMS 401 Submarine Acoustic Systems, and the FMS Office. All work will be performed at the contractor's facility, with annual program reviews and strict configuration management and quality surveillance protocols.
