The system must support two-way, hands-free communication for announcements and emergency notifications; emergency functionality including rapid dissemination of lockdown procedures across all areas; integrated scheduling with built-in clock, message board, and bell schedule capabilities; stand-alone network operation with all software updates provided by the contractor; emergency panic buttons in all classroom areas with priority communication and real-time audio monitoring; and expandable interior/exterior capability for future connection to exterior PA systems. The contractor is responsible for site examination, complete removal and disposal of old equipment, provision of all personnel, equipment, tools and materials, comprehensive system testing, training for NNPTC personnel on operation and maintenance, security clearance processing (with names submitted minimum six weeks prior to work start), warranty coverage for all products covering defects in materials or workmanship, and warranty-related repairs or replacements. Work must be conducted Monday through Friday from 1400-2200 Eastern Time, excluding federal holidays, with weekend/holiday work requiring prior written approval. The government will provide escorted access to work areas and may provide storage and assembly space. An optional CLIN is included for an exterior PA and intercom system covering parking lots, grass fields, walkways, and outdoor gathering spaces, with the same contractor responsibilities and a different work schedule of 0700-1600 Eastern Time.
