Statement of Need for New Office Furniture Bldg 49 (Warehouse)
10 June 2024
1. Scope of Need
The 6th Logistics Readiness Squadron located on MacDill AFB is seeking design and execution of furniture replacement for seven warehouse office space areas. The current furniture has existed for over 10 years and has sustained significant wear and tear, including broken drawers, hinges, and limited desk space. Need involves the coordination and management of all new products, equipment, and people required to create, deliver, and install new management style office furniture in the Logistics Readiness Squadron. This includes ongoing servicing of any items defective due to manufacturing error as well as for replacement or repair of any damaged items after purchase. Once the contract has been awarded, it becomes the responsibility of the contractor to validate the actual site conditions as well as any specific needs of the customer. A final furniture layout and Bill of Materials must then be provided that meets the customer requirements and accommodates the physical environment prior to placing the order. The replacement of new furniture will upgrade the aesthetic of the office spaces, along with significant improvement of workflow and capabilities for all office spaces in the warehouse.
