About this file
This is a Specifications document for a gas booster pump procurement by the USDA-ARS Field Scale Crop Research Unit (FSCRU). The FSCRU requires installation of a gas booster pump on an existing Kifco T30/1200 Ag-Rain irrigation reel to enable operation on lower pressure wells at the Oregon State University Hyslop Field Laboratory in Corvallis, Oregon. The booster pump must be compatible with the Kifco T30/1200 irrigation reel and capable of increasing irrigation pressure to a minimum of 90 psi. The increased pressure will allow the irrigation cart to return to the reel at all operational speeds and enable proper water diffusion at the nozzle to reduce soil compaction, minimize standing water, and prevent seed displacement from drill rows, thereby improving field experiment accuracy.
Delivery and installation must be completed within 30 days of contract award at Oregon State University Hyslop Field Laboratory, 3455 NE Granger Ave, Corvallis, OR 97330. The document does not specify pricing terms, response dates, or a contract vehicle type.

SPECIFICATIONS
Scope The USDA-ARS FSCRU requires a gas booster pump installed on our Kifco T30/1200 reel.
Background The booster pump will enable the existing irrigation reel to be operated on the lower pressure wells located on the Oregon State University Hyslop Field Laboratory where the FSCRU conducts field experiments. The booster pump will extend the range of the irrigation reel and the increased pressure at the reel. The increased pressure from the booster pump needs to be sufficient to return the irrigation cart to the reel at all speeds, rather than the slowest speed at current pressure. The increased pressure needs to be sufficient to diffused water droplets as the water exits the nozzle and break apart the water stream. This will limit the soil compaction of the irrigation and reduce standing water. Currently lower water pressure at the nozzle is not breaking up the water droplets, leading to flooding, displaced soil sediment, and movement of seed from the drill rows which lower the accuracy of field experiments.
Specifications
• Compatible with a Kifco T30/1200 Ag-Rain irrigation reel which it shall be mounted on
• Able to increase the pressure of the irrigation reel to a minimum of 90 psi.
Delivery/Installation Delivery and installation to be completed within 30 days of award at:
Oregon State University Hyslop Field Laboratory 3455 NE Granger Ave, Corvallis, OR 97330
