About this file

This document is an Attachment 1 - Specifications for a Reiter F20 Roving Frame procurement by the USDA Agricultural Research Service's Cotton Quality and Innovation Research Unit in New Orleans. The agency requires a new roving frame for producing ring spun yarns to replace a non-functioning Zinser machine, with specific technical requirements including the ability to process cotton, man-made fibers, and blends up to 60 mm, with a roving count of 2,000-200 tex, twist range of 10-100 T/m, and mechanical draft range of 3-33 fold.

The procurement specifies delivery to the USDA-ARS Southern Regional Research Center at 1100 Allen Toussaint Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124, with a 90-day delivery timeline. The technical specifications detail precise operational parameters for the roving frame, including individual roving monitoring capabilities and specific textile processing metrics such as Ne 0.3 – Ne 2.95 and Nm 0.5 – Nm 5 measurements. No government-furnished equipment is associated with this procurement, and the document appears to be a detailed technical specification sheet for potential vendors.
