Specifications
The U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) Woods Hole Coastal & Marine Science Center (WHCMSC) is seeking to upgrade the existing Universal Sonal Mount (USM) currently installed on the R/V O’Brien, to a
“HighTower Hinge Gear Bracket, 21” X-Pole. We are looking to trade in our existing USM (USM Legacy mount with a "Z-wing" pole adaptor. Serial Number: 500-1021-03 R4). Shipping destination is Woods
Hole, MA 02543.
Required Item: Universal Sonar Mount High Tower Bracket System-HIGHTOWER, HINGE, GEAR, 21" X- POLE, BOTH BRACKETS. Universal Sonar Mount brand name only.
• Capable of mounting a 150 lb. sonar head
• Repeatable positioning without re-calibration
• Breakaway safety feature in the case of collision
• Ability to hinge inboard, for safe transit and storage.
• Ability to be operated by a single technician
• Capable of a 1400:1 gear reduction ratio for lifting side pole
