About this file
This attachment provides specifications for an induced fluorescence detector procurement. The United States Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery Pacific West Area seeks a picometrics Zetalif LEDIF LED induced fluorescence detector or equivalent for use with a PrinCE Next 870 capillary electrophoresis system. The required detector must perform accurate and precise measurements of ionic components separated via capillary electrophoresis, utilize a 450nm LED light source, include standard emission filters from 485 to 760nm, and integrate with the specified CE system and controller.

Text version
Brand Name or Equal Picometrics Zetalif LEDIF LED Induced Fluorescence Detector
USDA ARS SJVASC-CPQ requires an Induced Fluorescence Detector (LIF or LEDIF) for the detection of ionic compounds following separation by capillary electrophoresis. The LEDIF needs to perform accurate and precise measurements of the ionic components and be compatible with the PrinCE Next 870 or equivalent. The Zetalif LEDIF a reduced power consumption, and extended lifetime compared to a laser induced fluorescence detector and up to 100,000 times the sensitivity of conventional UV detection.
SPECIFICATIONS and SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS:
LED (or Laser) Induced Fluorescence Detector
• 450nm LED Source
• Standard emission filter block for 485 to 760nm
• Installation to preexisting CE system (PrinCE Next 870 with Colibrick controller)
