PERFORMANCE WORK

STATEMENT/SPECIFICATION

SHEET

Air Compressor Installation 19 MXS

15 September 2021

1.0. PROJECT SCOPE. The Contractor shall provide, removal of old compressors, install, and program two air compressors that meet the provided specs below. Contractor shall verify all existing site conditions and measurements prior to beginning any work. Contractor shall protect all Government property against damage, to include but not limited to impact, scratching, water, power failure, power surges, and weather. All damages caused by the Contractor, whether to equipment, furniture, roads, landscaping, building components or any other type of Government property encountered at or near the project site shall be repaired or replaced to match existing and to the satisfaction of the Contracting

Officer at no cost to the Government. The contractor shall remove both of the old compressors. The contractor will install both compressors per manufacturer’s instructions and perform an ops check to ensure both compressors are in working condition. Shipping and handling to site must include off-load and disposal of all packaging. Contractor is required to complete cleanup including but not limited to:

removal of any dust, dirt, debris, fluids, trash, or replaced parts created by the contractor.

1.1. SCHEDULE. Contractor is required to complete tasks no more than 5 working days from the start of the project.

2.0. STANDARDS AND CODES. Work and equipment shall comply with the applicable OSHA, EPA and building standards and codes in place at the time of the install/programming service.

3.0. GOVERNMENT FURNISHED FACILITIES. No facilities will be furnished.

4.0. GENERAL PROVISIONS.

4.1. SCHEDULE AND STANDARD WORKDAY/WEEK. Work shall be accomplished during a standard, 5-day week, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 0730 to 1630, excluding Federal

Legal holidays. When the Contractor desires to work at other than the aforementioned times, the

Contractor shall submit a written request to the Contracting Officer for approval. The request shall be submitted at least five (5) work days prior to the proposed performance of work, and shall indicate the day/days, time/amount of work, and reason why permission should be granted to perform work during nonstandard hours. Approval for work to be performed during nonstandard time will be given only in cases of extreme necessity.

4.2. NOTIFICATION. The Contractor shall coordinate all work with 19 MXS POC TSgt Rachel

4.3. The Contractor shall do an ops check to ensure the equipment is running and functional prior to leaving.

MXS AIR COMPRESSOR SPECIFICATIONS

The two compressors required at Little Rock AFB will meet the below salient specifications:

1. All provided compressors will meet a Minimum Operating Condition of 115 CFM @ 125

PSI.

2. All provided compressors must be sized to ensure the “RUN CYCLE” is long enough to remove moisture from the oil. Note: Variable Speed Compressors will not be considered do to the fact that moisture in the oil is an inherent problem.

3. All provided compressors must be able to sync together – should one compressor fail the backup will automatically start.

4. All provided compressors shall be pipe into the system; such that, airflow cannot back feed through the compressor not running and shall be accomplished automatically in sequence with compressor controller.

5. All provided compressors shall have vibration eliminators piped on the discharge line before connecting to existing system piping.

6. All compressors will be floor mounted with vibration isolators and secured to the floor.

7. Existing air system has an Air Dryer - compressors do not require a dryer component.

8. All provided compressors will be electrically compatible with existing electrical panel –

Panel PD1, Square D Cat#12270588290240001, Max Voltage 480Y/277, PD1-14, 16, 18 &

PD1-15, 17, 19.

9. All provided compressors must have circuit breakers rated for manufacturer specifications.

10. All provided compressor will have a unit mounted or wall mounted FUSED Disconnect rated for manufacturer specifications.

11. All wiring from Electric Panel “PD1” to provided compressors will meet all Electrical Codes.

12. All compressors will be labeled/identified in PD1 - On each Fused Disconnect – On each

Compressor.

Recommended Compressor Models: GA22-125AP Atlas Copco Compressor, L23 Gardner

Denver Rotary Screw Compressor or equal.

All equipment and installation plans and drawings must be approved by 19 CES/CEOER.
