Travis Air Force Base
Alternate CAT A/V System Upgrade Work Statement
This is to be a 100% refresh of an existing site except for one relatively new NEC 70” Display. To bring this room into the 21st century and provide technology that will provide reliable service into the next decade the Alternate CAT requires a network centric system that provides for an easily deployable, and expandable system for this room. All system components must meet Cyber Security and AFNET system requirements.
Display System:
Contractor will remove the existing ceiling mounted projector and projection screen on the front wall of the room and replace the screen with (2) side x side 86” Planar (or similar with no wifi) displays on static wall mounts. The existing unused rear screen projection window will be removed from the front wall and the wall will need to be structurally re-enforced and have power/AV Chase added for the two new displays. This work to be completed by Travis AFB prior to installation. With this system any source can be displayed on any one or all four (4) displays simultaneously. All of the sources that have audio will be able to be heard via the flush mounted ceiling speakers and or sent to the far end of an Audio Video
Conference call.
Contractor will remove the existing wall mounted Zenith display from the side wall and replace it with a
75” Planar or similar display on a static mount. The existing power and AV Cable chase for this display will be utilized. It is assumed that there is structural backing already in place (from the existing Zenith display) that can be utilized for the new 75” display.
Contractor will re-use the existing NEC E705 (or similar with no wifi) 70” display on the opposite side wall for purposes of this installation.
Video System:
Contractor will provide and install a new Crestron or similar DM 16 input x 16 output matrix switcher w/redundant power supply DM Transmitters/Scaling Receivers, and input/output cards (along with PoE power supply for the I/O cards) to accommodate the following sources/destinations. The matrix switcher will allow the user to send a single source to all four (4) displays or up to four (4) sources to the four (4) different displays.
Sources:
• (1) HDMI laptop Input-Front of Conference Room Table
• (1) HDMI laptop Input-Rear of Conference Room Table
• (1) HDMI laptop Input-Podium
• (1) New TV Tuner (to connect OFE Off Air TV Antenna for displaying TV on any/all displays if desired)
• (1) SIPR PC in Rear Rack Room
• (1) NIPR PC in Rear Rack Room
• (6) NIPR PCs in area adjacent to the Conference Room table (near existing 70” NEC display)
• (1) OFE SIPR Videoconferencing PC Output #1 (in Rear Rack Room)
• (1) OFE SIPR Videoconferencing PC Output #2 (in Rear Rack Room)
• (1) OFE NIPR PC for Videoconferencing Output #1 (location in rear rack room)
• (1) OFE NIPR PC for Videoconferencing Output #2 (location in rear rack room)
• (1) Spare DM input card for future source
• (1) Spare HDMI input card for future source
Destinations:
• (1) New 86” Display (Front Wall-Left)
• (1) New 86” Display (Front Wall-Right)
• (1) New 75” Display (Side Wall)
• (1) Existing 70” Display (Opposite Side Wall)
• (2) Spare DM Output Cards for future destinations
• (4) Spare HDMI Output Card for future destinations
Audio System:
Contractor will provide and install (2) 2 x 2 ceiling microphones to accommodate audio and/or videoconferencing participants sitting at the conference room table as well as the computer locations and lectern. We will provide and install a new QSC Core 110f Audio DSP with Dante Audio Capability to accommodate the abovementioned microphones.
Contractor will provide and install QSC Network switch to accommodate all of the QSYS and Dante Audio
Devices or similar and install a QSC 2 Channel Audio amplifier to drive the eight (8) ceiling speakers.
Video Conferencing System:
Contractor will utilize the QSC QSYS Eco-System for purposes of videoconferencing. Will provide and install (1) QSYS PTZ camera with wider field of view (located under the (2) front wall 86” displays) to provide a view of the conference table.
NOTE: The audio Digital Signal Processor (DSP) has the capability of performing audio only conference calls if the site chooses to make available a SIP connection at the equipment rack.
System Control
Contractor will provide and install a new 4 series control processor to serve as the control system for this room. Contractor will remove the existing 12” touch panel from the podium and replace it with a newer, lower profile 10.1” Tabletop Touch Panel to allow control of the AV system from this location.
Control in the room will be accomplished via the new table top 10.1” touch panel (TP).
Each Touch panel’s GUI (Graphical User Interface) will be programmed to allow for an “easy to use” control interface for the end user. The control system will allow for the following functions:
• System On/Off (including videowall)
• System Presets, including activating Classified mode when selecting SIPR Display capability
• LED lights on ceiling microphones will turn “red” when classified mode is selected
• LED lights on ceiling microphones will turn “green” when unclassified mode is selected
• Video and Audio Source Selection and Routing
• Program Audio Volume Control
• Far End Volume Control
• Microphone Mute/Unmute
• Microphone level adjustment (if desired)
• Camera Controls (camera selection, PTZ Control, and Camera Presets)
• Audioconferencing Controls (Dialing, place call, end call, etc.)
Equipment Storage
Contractor will remove the existing equipment inside the existing rack. Contractor will re-use the existing equipment rack (as a cost savings measure) to house the following:
• Matrix Switcher
• PoE Device for Matrix Switcher I/O cards
• New QSYS Network Switch
• New OFE TV Receiver
• New QSC DSP
• New SIPR OFE VTC PC
• New NIPR OFE VTC PC
• Audio Amplifier
• Control Processor
• Ancillary Equipment as required
Contractor will provide all system drawings, configurations and un-compiled control system coding to the customer.
1 year of system service and support will be included in this work statement.
Contractor will provide turn-key system and training to end-users to ensure knowledge of system operating capabilities.
Operational Security (OPSEC) protocols must be complied with during this project.
Delivery Timeline: 180 Days
