Scope
• System Design and Engineering
• Project Management and Coordination
• Product Staging and Testing
• On-site Product Installation, Low Voltage cabling as it relates to the Audio-Visual system Testing and
Commissioning by a field engineer
• Upgrades must be performed by technicians qualified to work with existing audio visual equipment outlined in Existing Equipment section.
• Closeout documentation: As –built drawing, Programming files, Equipment Lists with associated serial numbers
Deliverables
1. Upgrade of A/V system as outlined in this scope of work with successful test of new hardware, software, parts. In addition, a one-year basic service plan in place for one year beginning the day after acceptance of upgraded system.
• Video from media inputs will be presented on the existing projector and screen, as well as an existing display mounted on a cart. Audio from media inputs will be played through existing surface mounted speakers. (In Divided- Mode, only the existing loudspeakers in the main room will output audio. In Combined-Mode, audio from the main system will be sent to the existing loudspeakers in the rear room.)
• Web-conferencing will hosted by the existing computer in the lectern, connected to an AV Bridge. Video pickup for web-conferencing will be via two (2) wall-mounted PTZ cameras, one at the front wall to pick up the audience, and one at the side wall to pick up the presenter at the lectern.
• Audio pickup for web and audio conferencing will be via a new wall-mounted microphone array bar below the existing screen to pick up the audience in the main room, as well as a new wireless lapel microphone for the presenter table microphone arrays. The existing wireless gooseneck microphone and wireless boundary microphones will also be incorporated into the system. (The boundary microphones will be used primarily for participants in the rear room to supplement the new microphone array.)
• To facilitate switching and PTZ control of the new cameras, as well as to create a more intuitive control experience, control of the AV system will be via a new touch panel at the lectern and replace the existing touch panel. A new control processor will replace the existing processor in the rack. AV equipment will be housed in the existing floor rack in the storage area behind the display wall.
2. Upgrades, and acceptable testing should be completed no later than 60 days after receipt of order. Basic service plan should be in effect after installation is complete and continue for 12 months.
3. Required brand name equipment: brand name required for compatibility with existing USGS equipment.
