STATEMENT OF OBJECTIVES (SOO)
Audio and Visual Equipment Support Services for Operational Executive Sills
Course (OESC)
I. Purpose: Provide Audio and Visual Equipment and Support Services for
Operational Executive Skills Course at The Bethesdan Hotel 26 February 2024 –
01 March 2024 with set-up on Sunday, 25 February, and tear down 01 March.
II. Scope or Mission: The Operational Executive Skills Course (OESC) is a new annual course for AFMS-wide new squadron commanders, functional managers, and senior enlisted leaders. This course will support the education and training of our medical service officers and enlisted leaders The course provides hands-on, face-to-face interaction with senior leaders and peers and is a forum for discussion and problem solving to address current key issues and future strategies. Projected outcomes include preparing newly selected Squadron Commanders, 3-letter
Functional Advisors, and Senior Enlisted Leaders (SEL) roles at Air Force
Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) through an Air Force operational executive leadership-skills focused approach to oversight and management of all executive team functions. This includes strategic level perspectives, readiness prioritization, executive leadership and oversight, resource management, teamwork and connectedness, functional manager responsibilities, and roles and responsibilities of the senior enlisted leader. Additionally, the course will offer Corps specific and command team breakout sessions to ensure pertinent topics are covered related to specific roles within the MTF.
III. Period and Place of Performance: 26 February – 1 March 2024, The Bethesdan
Hotel, 8120 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, MD 20814.
IV. Background: This is a new requirement.
V. Performance Objectives: Fiscal Year 2024 objective will complete audio visual equipment and support for the Operational Executive Skills Course.
• Audio visual (AV) support to include projectors, screens, audio equipment appropriate for lecture and/or panel style discussions in each of the rooms. (See attached AV equipment list). All meeting, administrative, registration, will have complimentary wireless high speed internet connectivity provided by the venue. The Contractor shall permit Government provided computer equipment to be plugged into house sound and required AV devices. AV technical support should be on hand in case of malfunction. AV Equipment needs to be in place prior to event start date of 26 February 2024 at 7
AM local time. Request to have equipment in place and an AV function test Sunday, 25 February 2024, prior to event. Equipment strike down must be complete no later than 11:30 PM local time on
01 March 2024.
