About this file
This is a Single Source Justification document for a federal acquisition under the Department of Veterans Affairs' simplified acquisition procedures for awards exceeding the micro-purchase threshold but not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold.
The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 7, Charleston VA Medical Center (Acquisition ID 36C247-26-AP-3015) intends to award a fixed-price supply contract for the purchase of a new transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) device for the Savannah CBOC. The contracting officer, Jacob A. Tackett, justifies the single-source award based on three primary factors: the manufacturer is already utilized at other locations within the Charleston VA Medical Center area of care, allowing for parts and supplies compatibility; training requirements will be reduced by maintaining consistency with the existing manufacturer; and market research confirmed that no other authorized distributors exist for the MagVenture equipment. The justification has been certified as accurate and complete in accordance with RFO 12.102(a).
