About this file

This document is a Justification for a Single Source Award above the Micro-Purchase Threshold but not exceeding the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) of $250,000. It describes a requirement from the Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 04, VA Pittsburgh Healthcare for surgical equipment including a Fluent Fluid Management System, NovaSure RF Controller, and related devices. The justification cites the unique technical features of the Fluent System that limit availability to one source, Hologic. Market research was conducted through sources sought notices, but no other vendors were identified with the required capabilities. This requirement will be competed as a total small business set-aside, with quotes solicited from two Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) identified as authorized distributors, as well as other small businesses. The estimated value is $49,852.78.
