About this file

This document is a Special Notice announcing an Industry Day for an upcoming federal contract opportunity for levee rehabilitation services.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division – Seattle District, is hosting an onsite Industry Day on June 2, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM PST to solicit industry feedback on the Cedar River Left Bank Levee Rehabilitation project in Renton, Washington. The requirement involves repairing and rehabilitating approximately 1,000 linear feet of the Cedar Authorized Left Bank Levee, which sustained damage during severe flooding in December 2025. The levee is part of a 6,400-foot-long system providing flood protection for residential, commercial, and industrial properties and the Renton Municipal Airport. Rehabilitation activities include removal of displaced riprap and loose material, reconstruction of the riverward slope, repair of 600–800 linear feet of levee including transitions, and restoration to pre-damage protection levels (from a 3-year event back to a 120-year event). The anticipated NAICS code is 237990 (Other Heavy and Civil Engineering, Construction), and the contract will be competitive and firm-fixed-price. Contract solicitation and award are planned for summer 2026.

Interested parties must preregister by emailing Della Overton (della.s.overton@usace.army.mil) and Otis Hatfield (Otis.w.hatfield@usace.army.mil) by June 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM PST, with a limit of two representatives per company. Onsite attendance requires safety vests and boots/safety shoes. In-processing occurs at the parking area across from 21 Logan Ave S, Renton, WA 98057, where attendees will check in, receive a safety briefing and project overview, and then proceed to the project site. Small business inquiries should contact Enshane Hill-Nomoto at Enshane.Nomoto@usace.army.mil. The notice emphasizes that attending the site visit is highly recommended, as additional site visits are unlikely until the solicitation period begins.

DESCRIPTION:

The United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Northwestern Division - Seattle District

(NWS) is hosting an Onsite Industry Day on 02 June 2026 to provide additional information and gain feedback from industry on an upcoming requirement for the rehabilitation of the Cedar

Authorized Left Bank Levee in Renton, Washington. The Government is seeking feedback from qualified, experienced sources capable of performing this type of project.

The Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has a requirement to repair and rehabilitate approximately 1,000 linear feet of the Cedar Authorized Left Bank Levee, which was damaged during severe flooding in December 2025. (0.33 AEP). Rehabilitation activities include:

1. Removal of displaced riprap and loose material.

2. Reconstruction of the riverward slope.

4. Restoration of the levee to its pre-damage level of protection.

The contract solicitation and award are planned for this summer.
