Salient Characteristics Sheet

ITEM # 1

Physical characteristics = L3Harris Falcon® III AN/PRC-117G, Software File, Downloadable from NIPR.

Essential Characteristics = Software must enable Multi User Objective System (MUOS) radio configuration on L3Harris Falcon® III AN/PRC-117G radios. In doing so the PRC-117G will be able to talk to UH-1N aircraft modified with MUOS capability.

Functions to be performed = The software/firmware enables radio communication between Command and Control nodes, and military aircraft. Provides data and voice capability on the MUOS radio platform.

ITEM #2

Physical characteristics = Three (3), Black, 1 lbs, 2ft tall, 1 inch circumference antenna that screws onto a PRC0117G radio.

Essential Characteristics = Must be able to connect to a PRC-117G radio and transmit on the Multi User Objective System (MUOS).

Functions to be performed = The MUOS antenna kit includes a diplexer enabling radio communication on the MUOS platform as a mobile ground radio connecting to a L3 Harris PRC-117G with the ability to talk to MUOS modified radios on UH-1N Helicopters.

ITEM #3

Physical characteristics = Three (3), Black, 7 lbs, antenna with 2ft circumference and approximately 4.5ft tall.

Essential Characteristics = Must be able to connect to a PRC-117G radio and transmit on the Multi User Objective System (MUOS).

Functions to be performed = The MUOS antenna kit includes a diplexer enabling radio communication on the MUOS platform as a ground radio connecting to a L3 Harris PRC-117G with the ability to talk to MUOS modified radios on UH-1N Helicopters.

ITEM #4

Physical characteristics = Three (3) Black or Dark Green, .5 lbs, 1inch height, 3-inch length, 2 inches with two wire connection points on one side and one wire connection point on the other side. This will connect to wiring going to a MUOS SATCOM antenna as well as wiring going to a PRC-117G radio.

Essential Characteristics = Must be able to connect to a PRC-117G radio wiring and transmit on the Multi User Objective System (MUOS) through a MUOS SATCOM Antenna.

Functions to be performed = The MUOS antenna kit diplexer at-the-pause is a diplexer installed between the L3 Harris PRC-117G and the MUOS SATCOM antenna enabling radio communication on the MUOS platform as a fixed ground radio providing capability to talk to MUOS modified radios on UH-1N Helicopters.

ITEM #5

Physical characteristics = One (1), Dark Green, 2 lbs, 10in length, 1foot base, 4in height

Essential Characteristics = Must be able to connect to a L3 Harris PRC-117G radio to allow the most current software to allow Multi User Objective System (MUOS) radio communication.

Functions to be performed = The hardware kit upgrade allows the L3 Harris PRC-117G radio to utilize the MUOS communications platform for ground to air, enabling radio communication on the MUOS platform as a mobile ground radio connecting to a L3 Harris PRC-117G with the ability to talk to MUOS modified radios on UH-1N Helicopters.
