Attachment 1 – Salient Characteristics List

Salient Characteristics

Program Integration Office (PIO) Acoustic Testing Equipment to determine the field STC rating of a wall, door, partition, or structure

Transformational Security, LLC STC Measurement Kit:

• Battery powered NIST-Certified sound level meter with included power supply/charger

• Both remote measurement software and PointSource Field STC software

• Class 1 microphone

• Class 1 precision calibrator tuned to 94/140 decibels

• 2000 Watt peak travel speaker

• White noise generator

• Laptop with power supply

• High grade hearing protection equipment

• Adjustable speaker tripod

• Speaker tripod adapter

• Operators tripod with work surface sufficient to hold both the laptop and NIST sound level meter.

• A 1/4–20 SLM magnetic mount

• Minimum 15 ft extension cord

• Travel case with custom cut foam for all sensitive electronic devices.

Training:

• In person

• Set up and operate equipment, all fundamentals and:

o Primer on basic acoustics, sound, and measurement

• Yield 8 qualified participants
