About this file

This document contains the Salient Characteristics and Technical Specifications for Thermal Camo Netting required by the 52nd Fighter Squadron (UFR - 52 SFS).

The requirement calls for thirty (30) individual thermal camouflage netting units, each measuring 7.5 meters by 7.5 meters (minimum size to cover one JLTV). The nets must be connectable and modular to facilitate coverage of larger assets while remaining lightweight and easily transportable between locations. The primary requirement is masking both Mid-Wave Infrared (MWIR) and Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) signatures to achieve significant reduction of thermal signatures for personnel, vehicles, and equipment, enabling them to blend with ambient thermal background and prevent detection by military-grade thermal imagers. The contractor must utilize nanotechnology or advanced composite materials for signature suppression. Each net features a reversible, two-sided visual pattern with Evergreen camouflage on one side and Woodland camouflage on the alternate side. The complete system must conform to MIL-STD-810H for ruggedness and environmental durability in harsh field conditions and be delivered as a ready-to-deploy kit. The support hardware includes lightweight carbon fiber support poles, spreaders, and heavy-duty stakes. All components must be built to withstand high-stress military use without degradation of thermal masking properties.
