About this file

This is a Requirement Description with Salient Characteristics document for a 736 SFS Ninja Dismount ground radar system procurement.

The 736 Security Forces Squadron requires a deployable, remotely operated ground radar system (GRS) for operational security during 36 CRG missions. The system must be packaged in hard body transit cases suitable for deployment operations and feature slow-to-cue integration capabilities with camera systems for immediate target identification. The radar must provide 120-degree field of view azimuth coverage with 360-degree total coverage capability and include range, azimuth, and elevation identification. The system shall be wearable and hand-carried with all necessary mounting hardware for tower integration, provide heightened cyber security with software release updates to prevent vulnerabilities, and support command and control via smart phone or tablet compatibility. Additional technical requirements include detection capability exceeding 800 meters for both 120-degree and 360-degree modes, geo-location functionality, rugged construction for field operations, and a field of view specification of 120 degrees azimuth by 80 degrees elevation. The system must integrate with ATAK (Android Tactical Assault Kit) and include sensor feed to an operation center.
