About this file
This document is an Attachment 1 - Salient Characteristics for a specialized sunshade netting system designed to protect and conceal aircraft. The requirements include comprehensive coverage for aircraft sunshades, with specific performance capabilities such as withstanding a 50-pound object moving at 60mph and having rapid deployment through button-activated mechanisms. The netting must be mobile, capable of encompassing large commercial aircraft, and offer advanced features like infrared camouflage netting and/or inflatable decoy fighter airplane capabilities.
The specifications emphasize flexibility in design, noting that "lesser strength solutions are welcome" while maintaining core protective and concealment objectives. The system must be adaptable, with potential deployment options ranging from activating all sunshades simultaneously to individual shade control. The primary focus appears to be on creating a highly functional, mobile protective system for aircraft that can quickly deploy and provide both physical protection and visual/infrared camouflage.
