About this file
This document is an Attachment 1 Salient Characteristics specification for a Fuel Polisher required by the 92d Maintenance Squadron at Fairchild Air Force Base in Washington. The fuel polisher is designed to clean contaminated fuel from the flightline for reuse in Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE), with key objectives of reducing defueling hours and enabling fuel recycling. Technical specifications include a 26 GPM nominal flow rate, portable design with built-in drip tray, multi-stage filtration system, and specific power and dimensional requirements.
The parts list details a comprehensive fuel polishing system consisting of a 25 GPM Mobile Fuel Polishing System, digital flow meter, inline magnetic fuel conditioner, and multiple filter bags with varying micron ratings (1, 10, and 100 micron). The system is powered by 120V/60Hz or 230V/50Hz, weighs approximately 185 lbs, and has dimensions of 48" x 22.5" x 25". The solicitation is issued by the Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command under contract number FA462025QA806, targeting a fuel management solution that improves operational efficiency and resource utilization.

Salient Characteristics For
Fuel Polisher
Fairchild AFB, WA
1. BACKGROUND: This machine would give the 92d Maintenance Squadron the ability to take contaminated fuel from the flightline and store it for future use in AGE assets. Instead of disposing of usable fuel, it can be cleaned to be utilized in the future.
2. OBJECTIVES: Reduce the defueling hours by allowing AGE to do everything within their shop and allow AGE to reuse fuel.
3. REQUIREMENTS: Machine shall have a portable design for easy dispatch to the flightline and include a built-in drip tray to prevent fuel spills when in use. Further specifications below.
Nominal Flow Rate: 26 GPM/1,560 GPH (98.4 LPM/5,905 LPH) Primary Filter: Bag Filter Vessel, Liner Basket for use with 1 - 800μ Water Block Secondary Filters: 3, 10, or 25μ Fine Filter or 3, 10μ Water Block Fuel Conditioner (Optional): LG-X 3000 Inline Magnetic Conditioner Pump: 3/4 HP Rotary Vane Pump Power: 120V/60Hz/15A or 230V/50Hz/15A Ports: 1.5" Cam & Groove In, 1.25" Cam & Groove Out Dimensions: ≈ 48” x 22.5” x 25” (122 x 57 x 63 cm) (H x W x D) Weight: ≈ 185 lbs (84kg)
