Title: Fuel Line Replacement Project at Southwinds Marina
Introduction:
Southwinds Marina is seeking proposals for the replacement of the existing fuel line system to enable the provision of fuel to two dispensers on a floating dock. The current fuel line is insufficient in length due to low water levels, necessitating the installation of a new retractable or extendable fuel line from the shoreline to the floating dock. The purpose of this project is to ensure a reliable and compliant fuel distribution system that meets all local and federal regulations.
Characteristics:
1. Design and Installation: The project involves designing and installing a retractable or extendable fuel line system from the shoreline to the floating dock at Southwinds Marina.
The new system should be capable of accommodating the fuel flow required for two dispensers.
2. Material Requirements: The new fuel line system will consist of steel pipe and flex pipe that can withstand marine environments and ensure durability.
3. Compliance: The fuel line design and installation must adhere to all relevant local and federal guidelines, including safety, environmental, and operational standards to ensure the system is compliant with regulations.
4. Safety Measures: Safety considerations, such as leak detection systems, emergency shut-off procedures, and signage, must be incorporated into the design to mitigate risks associated with fuel distribution.
5. Testing and Commissioning: Once the new fuel line system is installed, thorough testing and commissioning will be required to ensure its functionality, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
