About this file
This document is an attachment that describes the salient characteristics of a Residual Gas Analyzer required for a federal contract opportunity. The key details are:
The Residual Gas Analyzer must have a double filter quadrupole analyzer with a 1-200 AMU mass range capability, a Faraday detector capable of operating between 1 x 10-4 mbar and 2 x 10-11 mbar, and a dual Faraday/Microchannel Plate Electron Multiplier detector capable of detecting between 5 x 10-14 mbar and 10-4 mbar (Faraday mode) or 10-5 mbar (Electron Multiplier mode). It must also have an open, radial ion source with twin Tungsten filaments, 'Smart Head' electronics, an RJ45 Ethernet socket, a wide dynamic range of eight decades, analog and digital input/output ports, and software for controlling resolution, mass calibration, and other parameters.
The related federal contract opportunity is a pre-solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Space Command seeking potential sources to provide one Residual Gas Analyzer with the specified salient characteristics. The solicitation number is Davis_07012024 and it has not yet been determined how this requirement will be solicited.
