Salient Characteristic

1. Background: Basic Military Training (BMT) Trainees receive Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) during their appropriate week of training (WOT). During the fifth WOT, trainees arrive for Primary Agile Combat Employment Range Forward Operations Readiness Generation & Employment(PACER FORGE); a simulated combat zone. During their time at PACER FORGE there are numerous scenarios where they are to apply the techniques learned during TCCC on a mannequin. In addition, they apply the carrying techniques learned during TCCC. Approximately 900 Basic Military Training (BMT) trainees and guardians arrive to BEAST per week.
