About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details maintenance and repair requirements for Next-Generation Portable Therapeutic Liquid Oxygen (NPTLOX) systems used by the Air Force Medical Agency (AFMED). The Air Force has over 750 NPTLOX units in inventory for patient oxygen supply during transport and at deployed medical facilities, which replaced older generation systems over 20 years old. The contractor will provide both scheduled 36-month preventive maintenance and unscheduled major/minor repairs for these units, including technical evaluation, parts replacement, operational testing, and worldwide transportation of the equipment.
Key performance objectives include completing scheduled preventive maintenance within 45 calendar days (or 75 days if major component replacement is required), performing unscheduled maintenance within 75 calendar days, and providing technical evaluation quotes within 15 calendar days. The government estimates shipping approximately 22 NPTLOX units per month for scheduled maintenance and 1-3 units per month for unscheduled maintenance. The contractor must have the capability to increase service capacity to 40 NPTLOX units per month if requested, and must use original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts to maintain safe-to-fly certification. The contract will require monthly status reporting, customer service support, and adherence to specific technical order guidelines for maintenance procedures.
