About this file

This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for an engineering evaluation of the Slab On Grade (SOG) at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP) Landover Warehouse located at 3201 Pennsy Dr, Landover, MD 20785. The Department of the Treasury's BEP operates this warehouse primarily as storage for shipped equipment crates, with a structure consisting of concrete footings, piers, pre-cast double tees, CMU walls, steel columns, and light gauge metal decking. The contractor must conduct a comprehensive structural analysis and evaluation to determine the maximum load capacity, loading patterns, types, and criteria for the existing concrete slab on grade, along with engineering recommendations to enhance capacity.

The scope of work includes site surveys, review of available drawings and existing conditions, performance of necessary analysis and testing, and submission of a signed and sealed technical report with analysis data and engineering drawings. Original shell building drawings are unavailable, so the contractor is responsible for gathering all necessary information through site visits, measurements, technical testing, and other applicable approaches. The contractor must provide a preliminary schedule within one week of contract award and at the kickoff meeting. Work must comply with all applicable codes, standards, and industry practices, as well as BEP's EHS Contractor Requirements (75D-07.0-04). Contractor personnel require background investigations, security clearances, identification badges, and must maintain strict confidentiality regarding BEP's sensitive and proprietary information. The work is to be performed on-site with no travel requirements, and the contractor bears full responsibility for all means, methods, equipment, tools, and supplies necessary to complete the evaluation.
