About this file

This is a Product Specifications attachment for RFP No. 240000002720 issued by what appears to be a state or local transportation agency for the procurement of a drill rig truck. The specification document details the complete technical requirements for a self-contained drill rig truck capable of geotechnical or foundation drilling operations. The equipment consists of two primary components: a drill module (referenced as Central Mine Equipment CME-45B, with allowance for alternate makes/models) and a truck chassis (referenced as Freightliner 108SD Plus, with allowance for alternates). Bidders must respond to each specification section with either affirmative confirmation or provide detailed explanations and alternative options if deviating from the listed requirements, and must submit product literature for any alternate equipment offered.

The specifications establish comprehensive technical requirements across multiple systems including the drill's rotary drive (minimum four forward speeds, maximum spindle torque exceeding 3,530 foot-pounds), vertical drive (twin hydraulic cylinders with 68-inch stroke and 13,650-pound downward thrust), a turbocharged diesel engine rated at minimum 65 gross horsepower with EPA Tier 4 final certification, and an engine-driven hydraulic system rated at minimum 24.9 GPM at 2,000 PSI. The drill platform must include safety features such as emergency shut-off switches, hydraulic leveling jacks with up to 36-inch travel, a 20,000-pound front-mounted winch, a 150-gallon stainless steel water tank, mud pump assembly, and an auger handling rack capable of storing 60 linear feet of augers. The truck specification requires a severe-duty 4x4 configuration with 188-inch wheelbase, 33,000-pound GVWR, Cummins L9 diesel engine (300 hp), Allison 3000 RDS automatic transmission, and comprehensive safety lighting including strobes and work lights. All equipment must be new, current production models with standard features included in the purchase price, and the final unit must be painted white with drill components painted to a color sample provided post-award.
