About this file
This document is a specification sheet for pickleball court flooring tiles, detailing 10 key requirements for a tile system to outfit two standard-sized pickleball courts. The specifications mandate that the tiles must be designed specifically for sport/athletic play, with a focus on pickleball, and provide a stable, durable playing surface with good traction. Critical performance requirements include preventing tile movement during play, offering appropriate ball rebound, maintaining a flat surface without excessive gaps, and being easily cleanable.
Additional technical requirements specify that the tiles must cover a total area of 60' x 30' per court, include proper court lines and boundaries (or be compatible with vinyl floor tape), and not require adhesive for installation. The contractor is responsible for delivering the tiles to the installation site. The tiles must withstand sudden player movements without sliding, shifting, or buckling, and must be compatible with standard antibacterial cleaning solutions without damage or discoloration.

Pickleball Court Flooring Tiles Salient Characteristics (2 courts)
1. The contractor is responsible for delivering the tiles to the installation.
2. The tiles must be designed for sport/athletic play, preferably designed specifically for pickleball
3. The tiles must provide a stable and durable playing surface with good traction
4. The tiles cannot slide, shift, buckle, or experience unreasonable wear and tear when a player stops or changes direction suddenly
5. The tiles must provide an adequate amount of rebound (bounce) for the pickleball
6. The tiles must be lined so that when installed, all of the required lines and boundaries are in the appropriate place for a standard-sized pickleball court. In the event that this is not possible, the tiles must have a surface that is compatible with the use of vinyl floor tape and provides a reasonable period of use before the tape must be replaced.
7. The tiles must form a flat, even surface that is free of excessive gaps between tiles
8. The tiles must be easily cleaned i.e. can be mopped with a standard antibacterial cleaning solution without causing damage or discoloration of the tiles
9. There must be enough tiles for two standard-sized pickleball courts (44' x 20') and court perimeter, totaling 60' x 30' per court.
10. The tiles must not require an adhesive to stick to the floor.
