This is a Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the overhaul and electrical upgrade of two Dresser-Rand Model N20NL-11C High Pressure Air Compressors (HPACs) currently installed on the USNS Yukon (T-AO 202). The contract number is TBD, item number is designated as Category "A," with completion date of 2026-03-05.

The contractor must perform an 18,000-hour maintenance overhaul on both HPACs (serial numbers XM51224 and XM51318) and execute a system upgrade to replace obsolete electrical and condensate drain equipment. The compressors will be shipped from Alabama Shipyard to an OEM-approved facility in Chesapeake, Virginia. Work scope includes: disassembly and inspection of crossheads, connecting rods, crankshaft, and main bearings with replacement of worn components; thorough cleaning of the frame and oil sump; overhaul of the freshwater pump and oil pump; inspection and cleaning of the cooling water system with hydrostatic testing; refurbishment of condensate drain manifolds, check valves, and unloading valves; and completion of all electrical and condensate drain system upgrades. All work must be performed by qualified OEM technicians in compliance with manufacturer standards. The contractor must submit "as found" condition reports for components exceeding allowable tolerances, an "as released" final condition report, and technical manuals/drawings documenting the electrical and condensate drain upgrades. Upon completion, the contractor shall arrange transportation of both overhauled compressors to LP-26 MSC Norfolk Warehouse. The possible source identified is Curtiss-Wright Fleet Solutions in Chesapeake, Virginia.
