Description. Janitorial services are required in the main office (6,597 square feet) and the warehouse (954 square feet) buildings on the district compound.
Site Visit. A site visit is not planned for this project. Any requests to perform a site visit should be directed to the Contracting Officer – joanne.meiers@usda.gov.
Interested parties shall take reasonable steps to ascertain the nature and location of the project area and the work to be completed, as well as the general and local site conditions which can affect the work and cost of performance. Failure to take the actions described in this paragraph will not relieve the Contractor from the responsibility of properly estimating the difficulty and cost to successfully perform the work, or from successful completion of the work without additional expense to the Government.
Performance Based Service Contract. This work is being solicited as a performance based, commercial item requirement, indicating the Contractor is responsible for delivering a quality end product, based on required results with measurable outcomes. If a quality end product is not provided, an adjustment to the Contractor’s payment will be made. A commercial item contract streamlines the terms and conditions to resemble those being used in the everyday marketplace.
