PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT (PWS)

FOR

177th FW Building 445 Compressed Air Supply Services for Government-owned Equipment

1.0 General:

1.1 Scope: The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and quality control necessary, except as specified in Paragraph 3.0 as Government Furnished, to perform Compressed Air Supply Services as defined in this PWS.

1.1.1 Objectives: The objective is to perform the initial repair of Atlas Copco air compressors and air dryers, which includes the setup of compressed breathable air and air purifiers. Following any repairs, an initial service of all the aforementioned components will be conducted. The ongoing responsibilities include bi-annual servicing of all compressed air systems and quarterly sampling of the compressed breathable air.

1.2 Background: The compressed air supply at Building 445 is inoperable following a critical failure caused by a compressor overload. This system shutdown is a direct consequence of the equipment being severely overdue for required maintenance across every metric.

Establishing a comprehensive service contract is now an immediate necessity, not only to return the compressor to operational status but also to implement a preventative maintenance schedule that will ensure the equipment functions reliably and its service life is maximized.

1.3 Period of Performance (PoP): The Period of Performance shall be a base year (12 months) and four (4) 12-month option years. Services will be required bi-annually and quarterly in accordance with the PWS.

When hiring personnel, the contractor shall keep in mind that the stability and continuity of the work force are essential.

1.4.1.1 Unscheduled gate closures by the Security Police may occur at any time causing all personnel entering or exiting a closed installation to experience a delay.
