About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) from the US Department of Agriculture for the Norwood Horse Pasture Well Development project. The work involves completing the drilling, testing, and installation of a new water well at the Thunder Road Administrative Site on the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests, located at 1305 Thunder Road, Norwood, Colorado 81423, approximately 4 miles south of the Norwood Ranger District. The well is essential to support the reconstruction and water system design for the administrative site and must meet production and water quality standards.
The contractor is responsible for all project travel costs, which are included in the mobilization fee. Key personnel requirements include identifying a Colorado-licensed drilling contractor, an individual assigned to the job site during drilling operations, and individuals responsible for conducting water testing. The government will provide site access, and the contractor must maintain security by keeping the site gate closed when not actively entering or exiting. Technical specifications for the drilling and testing work are referenced as attached specifications but are not included in this document excerpt.
