Delivery only is required; installation is not included. Specifications detail aluminum construction including a 14-gauge aluminum cap, 2" x 2" x ¼" aluminum angle bracing, and 2.25" x 3.0" x ¼" aluminum channel with 5 bars spaced 8 inches apart at each end. The period of performance requires final deliveries within 20 weeks of receipt of order. Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge 24 Aluminum Water Control Structures

This project will provide the goods needed to replace storm damaged water control structures with upgraded water control structures (WCS) that will prevent manatees from entering the water control structure.

Water control structures are 30 foot long, 36 inch diameter aluminum culverts with custom 48 inch, four foot high riser face that will hold wooden board that control the level of the water that can flow through the culvert. The new upgraded structures have bars on either end to prevent manatees and people from getting stuck inside the structure.

This is for delivery of the WSC’s only installation is not required.
