About this file

This document is a Minimum Specifications statement for a federal procurement of level sensors and pressure transmitters by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD Code 633).

The procurement requires six Endress + Hauser Cerabar S PMC71 level sensors with specifications including FM and NI approvals for classified locations, 4-20 mA HART output, T14 aluminum housing with IP66/67 rating, NPT1/2 cable entry, 400 mbar gauge sensor range, and 316L stainless steel flush mount process connection with FKM seals. Additionally, six Endress + Hauser Cerabar M PMC51 pressure transmitters are required with FM and NI approvals for zone 2 classified areas, 4-20 mA HART output, F31 aluminum housing with glass window display and push-button operation, NPT1/2 electrical connection, 1 bar gauge sensor range with 10 bar overload capacity, and 316L stainless steel threaded process connections with FKM seals. Delivery must occur within 15 working days of contract award to Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division in West Bethesda, Maryland, with FOB Destination terms. The contract period of performance is one year from award, and a 12-month warranty is required following delivery. The procurement supports NAVSEA's Environmental Quality/Shipboard Waste program and will enable replacement of failing sensors on the laboratory Liquid Waste Feed System to maintain current operational functionality.

Minimum Specifications

Title: Level Sensors

1.0 Scope

NSWCCD Code 633 performs research and development in the areas of non-oily wastewater treatment. Code 633 also provides engineering and technical support to NAVSEA technical warrant holders, various program offices, and other Department of Defense (DoD) organizations.

The SCC Facilities funding available for this procurement will support various tasks within the NAVSEA 05P5/F Environmental Quality/Shipboard Waste program. The Endress + Hauser brand of level and pressure sensors in this procurement will allow Code 633 to replace faltering sensors on 6 tanks of the laboratory Liquid Waste Feed System (LWFS) with new and updated models that will ensure the current functionality is maintained within the LWFS.
