Inventory Management: Overseeing the inventory and tracking of parts and materials.

Delivery: Providing timely delivery of parts and materials.

1.2 The materials required encompass mandatory and non-mandatory replacement parts as outlined in

Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane overhaul procedures. This SOW outlines requirements for a Contractor owned and operated facility that will be utilized to house and manage all parts for this contract. Furthermore, this SOW includes service requirements for:

Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) resolution: Addressing issues related to the unavailability of parts and materials.

Part/Material Failure Trend Tracking: Monitoring failure patterns to identify potential problems.

Obsolescence Management: Proactively addressing issues related to outdated or obsolete parts and materials

1.3 The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane, Radar Technologies Division, overhauls various radar antenna systems and their sub-assemblies. During these overhauls, specific parts and items are designated for mandatory replacement. Implementing a parts supply kitting and delivery contract to provide pre-packaged kits for Radar Restoration has greatly improved efficiency, reduced overall procurement costs, and freed up valuable Government engineering expertise. This parts kitting supply contract aligns with the rules and guidelines for Operating Material and Supplies (OM&S).
