About this file
This document outlines requirements for a Vector Network Analyzer solution solicitation from the Department of the Navy. The Naval Research Laboratory seeks a complete VNA solution consisting of a base module with minimum two ports covering 10MHz to 43.5GHz to measure S-parameters. Frequency extenders are required to measure S-parameters from 750GHz to 1100GHz. Additional capabilities sought include spectrum analysis, time domain analysis, pulse generation and detection with 40ns shortest pulse width. Remote programmability through GPIB, LAN, USB and external monitor outputs is required. The solution should operate from 15C to 28C with appropriate cabling, hardware, and a torque wrench included.

Specifications for Vector Network Analyzer
The Naval Research Laboratory has a requirement for an complete Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) solution for the THz characterization of Anti-ferromagnetic materials. The tool shall consist of a base module with a minimum of two ports, covering the frequency range from 10MHz to 43.5GHz. This base module shall be able to measure the S-parameters in this frequency range. Furthermore, it should be capable of doing spectrum analysis, time domain mode and pulse generation/detection mode. Additionally, this unit shall consist of frequency up and down convertors to measure the S-parameters in the frequency range of 750 GHz to 1100 GHz.
