About this file

This document is an Attachment detailing Salient Characteristics for Diagnostic Equipment Kits for the 346 TRS Vehicle Maintenance and Management training program. The procurement includes four sets of comprehensive diagnostic equipment, featuring a robust carrying case (airtight, watertight, chemically resistant) and a sophisticated diagnostic system with extensive vehicle coverage. The diagnostic system is a high-performance device with an embedded Windows 10 operating system, 10-inch touchscreen display, 4-channel lab scope, and capabilities to scan fault codes, identify vehicle issues, and support automotive makes from 1983 onward.

The equipment kit contains multiple specialized components, including custom fitted foam, power cables, battery clips, pressure transducers, precision low amp probes, ignition lead kits, and software licenses. The diagnostic system offers wireless connectivity, WiFi capability, and can diagnose over 100 OEM-specific vehicle systems across 50 automotive makes (12 European, 16 Asian, 22 domestic). The system weighs approximately 4.4 pounds, has a quick boot-up time under 10 seconds, and includes features like a built-in camera, live data graphing, and the ability to read Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs). The point of contact for this opportunity is Detra Whitfield, reachable at (210) 671-6177 or detra.whitfield@us.af.mil.
