About this file

This document is a Justification and Approval (J&A) for a brand name procurement of Cisco network equipment under the Army's Computer Hardware Enterprise Software and Solutions (CHESS) contract vehicle.

The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command - Soldier Center (DEVCOM-SC) has a requirement for lifecycle replacement of various Cisco network switches and firewalls, including 10 Cisco 9300-48UXM switches, 10 Cisco 9300-48P switches, 6 Cisco C9200CX-12P-2X2G switches, and 1 each of the Cisco FPR-2140-NGFW, FPR-1120-NGFW, and FPR-1150-NGFW firewalls. The total estimated value is not provided. The requirement will be awarded on a brand name basis under the ITES-3H contract, which is a mandatory source for the Army. Delivery is required within 30 days of contract award. The justification cites the need for equipment compatibility with the existing DEVCOM-Soldier Center network, which is composed of Cisco products. The requirement will be posted for public comment prior to award.
