About this file

This is an AFMC Form 158 Packaging Requirements document for purchase instrument FD20202600236-00 that establishes packaging standards for two distinct line items under military contract conditions.

The document mandates compliance with MIL-STD-129 (Revision R) and MIL-STD-2073-1 (Revision E) for all packaging and marking procedures. All wood packaging material (WPM)—including pallets, skids, crates, dunnage, and related containers—must be constructed from debarked, heat-treated wood at 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for a minimum of 30 minutes, with certification by an accredited agency recognized by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC) in compliance with International Standards for Phytosanitary Measures (ISPM) No. 15 to prevent invasive species such as pinewood nematode. The first line item (1680DTG26012AWF) requires no packaging data, while the second line item (1680010513052WF) specifies MIL Long Line Packaging at preservation level MIL and packaging level B, with unit pack dimensions of 12.5 x 12.5 x 14.5 inches and a cube of 1.311 cubic feet. This second item also requires ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection and labeling. Shipping containers must be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 with additional marking requirements potentially including unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer (OEM) names, and OEM model numbers as specified. The packaging requirements were approved by Stephine A. Lucero, Packaging Specialist with the 406 SCMS/GULAA organization on 11 December 2025.
