About this file
This document is a Single Source Justification (Simplified Acquisition) for a federal contract to purchase two wire-guided order picker forklifts and related equipment for the 60th Logistics Readiness Squadron at Travis AFB.
The justification states that the order pickers and wire guidance system must be manufactured by Raymond Corporation to ensure compatibility with the existing Raymond equipment already installed at the facility. Due to the potential cost of re-procuring and reinstalling an entirely new system, it would be in the government's best interest to award this brand name requirement to small business contractors able to provide the Raymond equipment per the statement of work. The solicitation will be posted on SAM.gov as a small business set-aside to further competition. Future brand name awards for this requirement would continue to prioritize compatibility and use of the existing Raymond system. The total estimated contract cost is $166,326.
