About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) outlines requirements for maintenance of two water storage tanks at Shaw Air Force Base. The scope includes repairs and coating for Tank T1617 (250,000-gallon deluge water storage tank) and inspection of Tank T2003 (200,000-gallon water storage tank).

For Tank T1617, the contractor must perform a lead survey, sandblast and remove all interior/exterior paint, dispose of materials per SCDHEC regulations, prepare surfaces and apply new coating system following Sherwin-Williams specifications. Major repairs include installing a new cathodic protection system, replacing the primary shell manway, installing new confined space/fall protection equipment, replacing the roof vent, and performing various structural repairs including pressure grouting the tank floor and reinforcing support connections. For Tank T2003, the contractor must conduct a visual assessment of interior/exterior coating systems and structural components, providing an engineering report with recommendations and cost estimates. The period of performance is 105 calendar days after Notice to Proceed. The contractor must provide a one-year warranty and obtain all required permits. The project requires coordination with base operations and adherence to multiple federal, state and industry standards.
