Statement of Work for

60 MDTS

Histology/Pathology Laboratory

(Epredia Cryostar NX70) 28 February 2025

Description: The NX70 Cryostats provide STAT processing of interoperative samples for the pathology laboratory. It is designed for use with multiple types of blades (high and low profile) which expands the types of samples that this procedure can be performed on. Several unique safety features include a cold disinfection process which allows for the machine to stay turned on and still disinfect after procedures, reducing downtime and increasing procedural capabilities.

Turning the machine off requires at least 24 hours to restart and cool down. It also has an ergonomic feature in height adjustment of the machine from 32 to 44 inches. Unlike any other cryostats on the market, this machine cools the parts of the instrument not the air itself. This lends to safer handling of items inside the chamber, like specimen chucks or blades as well as prevents the loss of temperature when the door to instrument is opened for adding, removing or adjustment of specimens. This is a Brand Name.
