About this file

This is a Statement of Need for spectrum analyzer equipment required by 55 CS/SCXF Installation Spectrum Management. The organization requires a signal and spectrum analyzer capable of electromagnetic analysis across a frequency range of 2 Hz to 85 GHz, with analyzers exceeding 85 GHz to be reviewed favorably. The device may be configured as either a fixed desktop unit or a portable handheld device.

The minimum technical specifications include phase noise of -140 dBc at 10 KHz offset, an OCXO precision frequency reference, and support for comprehensive signal analysis capabilities. Required measurement capabilities encompass 5G-NR R15 downlink, AM/FM/PM modulation analysis, VOR/ILS measurements, and standard single-carrier analysis for WCDMA, CDMA2000, TD-SCDMA, TETRA, and NB-IoT protocols. The analyzer must support multiple WLAN standards (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/p/ac/ax/be/bn/ad/ay), LTE, 5G NR, HRP UWB IEEE 802.15.4z, Bluetooth BR/EDR/LE, and automotive radar analysis. Additional required capabilities include component characterization and linearization, pulsed and frequency-hopping radar waveform analysis, EMC pre-compliance measurements, noise power ratio and phase noise measurements, spurious measurements, and Verizon 5GTF uplink/downlink analysis. The procurement includes documentation of calibration values, a recommended antenna set for mobile operation, a transportation case if available, five-year warranty with calibration support, and comprehensive training on spectrum analyzer operation.
