• Install liquid-tight penetration boots on all double-wall product lines and leak sensor conduit entries to ensure 100% watertight isolation.
2.4 Backfill & Environmental Testing:
• Prior to backfilling, conduct hydrostatic tightness testing on all three (3) newly installed containment sumps in accordance with EPA 40 CFR § 280.35 and KDHE Bureau of
• Environmental Remediation guidelines. Sumps must maintain water levels without leakage for the specified test duration.
• Backfill and compact around new containment sumps using clean, washed pea gravel / crushed stone bedding per manufacturer specifications.
• Reinstall the existing STPs, reconnect product piping lines, reconnect electrical power feeds, and reconnect leak detection sensor circuits.
• Perform operational testing on all three (3) STPs to verify proper pump functionality and communication with the base leak detection console.
• Perform precision line pressure tightness tests and tank tightness tests on all three (3) fuel systems. Submit certified test reports signed by a licensed technician to the COR and 22 CES Environmental within five (5) business days of test completion.
