About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for NASA Stennis Space Center requiring the procurement of ASME certified pressure vessels for hydrogen, methane, and nitrogen storage. The contract calls for two vessels, each with a volume of approximately 625 cubic feet (total 1,250 cubic feet), constructed from SA372 Grade J material or equivalent, rated for 15,000 PSIG design pressure, and certified to ASME Boiler Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1, 2, or 3. Vessels must be coated and painted to high-quality standards suitable for the Gulf Coast environment.

Vendors may propose either an Assembly Pack Configuration Option consisting of four vessels arranged vertically in an I-beam support structure with 1-inch medium pressure end connections and integrated lifting points, or an Individual Vessel Option providing a single 15,000 PSIG vessel with 6-inch R-Con connections. All vessels must be cleaned to minimum Level 400A per RPTSTD-8070-0001 with corrosion-resistant coating ensuring long-term outdoor protection. Deliverables must include submittal drawings for NASA Engineering approval prior to construction, technical datasheets, ASME certification documentation, manufacturing and delivery schedules, warranty terms, and past performance information for similar high-pressure vessels. Quality assurance requires ASME code stamps, full material and manufacturing traceability, hydrostatic and non-destructive examination test reports, and optional NASA or delegated source inspection access during fabrication. Delivery is required to Building 4010, NASA Stennis Space Center, Mississippi 39529, with vendors specifying expected delivery schedules and transportation methods.
