Statement of Need for
Potable Water Servicing Cart
Description: 60 MXS is requesting to purchase a potable water servicing cart for KC-46 A-Check. Having this cart would eliminate the need for the potable water truck from LRS. This equipment is fully electric no need for fuel and improves the safety of the Airmen accomplishing the servicing, and inspection process. The section is more self-sufficient for our inspection to have a guaranteed way to service potable water. Having this equipment removes the requirement of a qualified vehicle driver for the potable water truck, easier to train on the in-house water cart than to get qualified to use and drive the water truck. Cleaned and maintained by inspection section. The AERO water cart is lower profile and has a 270 Gallon tank which is needed to drain and cycle the 110 gallons from the aircraft to the water cart and back through the OZONE cart into the aircraft. It has a winterized and insulated tank that is corrosion proof. 5th wheel steering and bigger tires to make moving the cart around easier. Has a steel chassis around the tank to prevent any inadvertent damage. This is a “brand name or equal” request.
The contractor shall provide the following:
1. Equipment: Brand/Model Number – AERO Specialties /WC270-RJ3E Water Service Cart
