About this file

This draft request for proposal is for the full rate production of the Family of Weapon Sights - Individual system. The Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground intends to issue a solicitation to procure the production of the Family of Weapon Sights - Individual devices, associated spare and repair parts, maintenance, and technical support services. The Family of Weapon Sights - Individual is an uncooled, lightweight infrared imaging device for surveillance and target acquisition on individual weapons. It must provide a wireless Rapid Target Acquisition capability when used with an Intra-Soldier Wireless compliant device, and interconnectivity with a Direct View Optic such that the displayed imagery serves as input to the Direct View Optic. The government emphasizes adherence to schedules, integration, qualification, and intellectual property rights. Industry feedback is requested on the specification and qualification timeline. The Army Contracting Command plans to host a virtual industry day after receiving feedback to further discuss the draft solicitation.
