About this file

This Sources Sought Notice is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of the Army to conduct market research on the domestic production of specific hand and measuring tools. The RFI seeks to determine if 17 different tools can be produced in the United States in compliance with DFARS 225.7002-1, which requires hand or measuring tools to be assembled in the U.S. The tools include various power tools and hand tools such as impact drivers, hacksaws, nail guns, angle grinders, drill bits, chisels, and other construction and workshop equipment.

Respondents are asked to complete specific columns in the attached tool list, indicating whether their organization produces the listed tools domestically, can produce similar tools, or would consider moving production facilities to comply with U.S. manufacturing requirements. The RFI is voluntary, with no cost or obligation to the government, and responses are due by 25 JUL 2025. Interested parties should contact Barbara Rogowski at barbara.rogowski2.civ@army.mil and are advised to carefully mark any proprietary information in their responses.
