About this file

The provided document is an Attachment titled "Salient Characteristics" related to a federal contract opportunity for an Automatic Pressure Calibrator. The 48th Component Maintenance Squadron (48th CMS) has a requirement for a Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory (PMEL) Pressure Calibrator to calibrate and repair precision measuring equipment. The required calibrator must be manufactured by Additel, model ADT762-02-GP10K-N, capable of generating up to 10,000 psi, and have self-priming, self-purging, automatic leak monitoring, and automatic pressure generation capabilities to support the annual calibration of 1,800 hydraulic pressure gauges. The calibrator must be shipped to the OCONUS location of RAF Lakenheath. The related federal contract opportunity is Solicitation Number FA558724Q0110, issued by the Department of the Air Force United States Air Forces in Europe - Air Forces Africa.

Salient Characteristics - 48 CMS Automatic Pressure Calibrator

Requiring Activity: 48 CMS

Project Title: Automatic Pressure Calibrator

Date: 20-AUG-2024

Mission: The primary mission of the 48 CMS TMDE Flight is to calibrate and repair precision measuring equipment for the 48 FW and over 120 additional work centers throughout the United Kingdom and USAFE. Our customers rely on accurate, reliable and traceable TMDE to execute its various missions.

Background: The TMDE Flight is responsible repair and calibration of approximately 1800 hydraulic pressure gauges annually. Currently, we use a manually actuated hydraulic pressure calibrator. The system requires manual priming, purging and exercising of the gauge and calibrator. In addition, the technician must constantly monitor the system for leaks and ensure stability before readings can be taken. The Additel ADT762-02-GP10K-N removes the human factor from those four tasks. The increase in system efficiency will result in faster turnaround time for our customer and greater calibration accuracy and reliability.

Product Requirements:

• Must be manufactured by Additel, part number ADT762-02-GP10K-N

• Must be capable of generating up to 10,000 psi

• Must be self-priming

• Must be self-purging

• Must have automatic leak monitoring

• Must have automatic pressure generation

• Must be suitable for calibration of 1,800 gauges annually

Delivery Requirements

• All dates to be coordinated through Mr. Raymond Hutchins at 48 CMS TMDE Flight upon award.

• Shipped to OCONUS (RAF Lakenheath)
