The following are the minimum required labeling, packaging, and shipping instructions in accordance with MIL-STD-129. All shipments must adhere to the contract and this General Vendor Shipping Instruction, latest revision. Any deviations to these requirements shall be addressed in Section D of the contract.
Peckham Vocational Industries shall not accept collect payment shipments.

DD-250 (Packing List):
1. The DD-250 packing list shall be attached to the lead pallet, inside a packing list envelope. The packing list shall list for production material shall have either a National Stock Number (NSN) or the Management Control Number (MCN). Products that are being used for LAT, FAT, or Prototype testing shall contain the Manufacturer Part Number (MAN-P). The packing list shall list a quantity for each NSN, MCN, and MAN-P.
2. Items delivered without an NSN, MCN or MAN-P listed on the packing list will not be received in the warehouse until all information is communicated to Peckham Vocational Industries Inc.

Bar Tag Instructions:
Bar codes shall be encoded using the Standard 1D Barcode, Code 39 representation complying with all commercial requirements and shall be readable using commercial bar code scanners. The bar code marking shall be applied to a durable label so that heavy handling will not render the bar code unreadable.
Individual Box Instructions:
1. Box dimensions shall be calculated to maximize the space on the skid while aligning all edges (with no more than one inch overhang), but not exceeding 50” wide x 42” deep x 52” high. The 52” includes the height of the pallet.
2. If the products in the boxes are not enclosed in protective wrapping, the box shall have a Kraft paper liner inside the box on the top and bottom of the product.
3. Each box shall contain only one NSN, MCN, or MAN-P.
4. Individual boxes shall not exceed 70 lbs. in total weight.
5. The bursting strength and ECT (Edge Crush Test) of the boxes must be sufficient as to allow for the pallets to be double stacked for transport without tipping, crushing, or bursting.
6. There can be only one single partial (short) box per NSN, MCN, or MAN-P per shipment. That box shall be clearly identified as a partial box.
7. All boxes within a shipment, regardless of their location on the pallet, shall be placed on the pallet with the labels facing outward.
8. A single label shall contain, as separate lines, each of the following fields in either both human readable or Standard 1D Barcode 39 format or both as noted below:
o National Stock Number (NSN), Management Control Number (MCN), Manufacturer Part Number (MAN-P) (Both) o Vendor’s name (Human Readable Only) o Cage Code of the company awarded the contract (Both) o Identification that matches the contract nomenclature (Human Readable) o On Sized Items, the Material Size (Human Readable)

Pallet Instructions:
1. All items shall be delivered on a standard 4-way entry Type 1, 48” wide x 40” deep, Wing Tip Pallet.
A wing tip pallet has a top or bottom deck (or both) that is greater in width than that of the outside stringers for the purpose of increasing the strength of the deck(s) of the pallet. The benefits to this skid its stronger weight bearing capabilities without adding another stringer board.
2. The pallet and packages combination shall not exceed 52” in overall height.
3. The packaging shall not exceed 1” overhang per pallet edges, allowing the final packaged dimensions of the package to be no greater than 50” wide by 42” deep and 52” in height.
4. A pallet may contains multiple National Stock Numbers (NSN), Management Control Number (MCN) or Manufacturer Part Number (MAN-P). Each NSN, MCN, or MAN-P must be boxed or wrapped separately, clearly identified, and labeled on the pallet.
5. Loads containing multiple contract requirements shall not be mixed on a pallet.
6. The pallet label shall contain a label on the outside of the pallet packaging, containing as separate lines, each of the following fields in both human readable and standard 1D Barcode 39 format:

Readable) o National Stock Number (NSN), Management Control Number (MCN), Manufacturer Part
Number (MAN-P) shall be listed on all packaging and accompanying paperwork. (Both)
Items delivered without a NSN, MCN, or MAN-P on both the packaging and the accompany paperwork shall not be received in the warehouse until all confirming documentation is communicated to Peckham Vocational Industries Inc. This includes production items and test items.
Pallets containing more than one NSN, MCN, or MAN-P shall be clearly identified as a mixed pallet.
o Contract or order number (including the CLIN) (Both) o CLIN (encoded using six characters, including zero fillers placed to the left of the number, for example, 0001AB). (Both) o Exact total quantity (Human Readable) o Contractor Shipment Number, encoded using seven characters or eight if including a suffix, in accordance with the DFARS Appendix F, Part 3. The first three positions will always be alpha, the last three always numeric, and the fourth either alpha or numeric (Both).
o Pallet number and the total number of pallets (Human Readable).
o Shipment Number made against the contract (Both)
7. Wood pallets must be heat treated and contain the international heat treated marking.
8. The boxes on the pallets shall be stretched wrapped to the pallet.
