About this file
This Performance Work Statement outlines requirements for cleaning, coating, and painting metal parts for a federal contract with a base year starting at time of award and an option year following the base year.
The contractor shall clean and coat six metal parts in accordance with provided drawings and specifications, completing only the coating sections. Service delivery will be on an as-needed basis spread across the contract life, with parts shipped in batches of single or multiple part numbers with prior arrangement. Two parts—5-19-7355 Cap, Filter Inlet and 5-19-7437 Filter Body and Outlet Assembly—require paint in either Green 383 CAMO (Color Number 34094) or Tan 686A CAMO (Color Number 33446) per FED-STD-595, with color selection provided by Pine Bluff in advance of shipment. The CLIN structure comprises ten contract line items for the base year covering five distinct part numbers with varying treatment requirements: four parts require chromate coating only, two parts (5-19-7355 and 5-19-7437) have separate CLINs for chromate-only and chromate-with-paint options in both green and tan colors, with minimum quantities ranging from 1 to 1,000 units and maximum quantities from 277 to 2,546 units. Option Year 1 contains ten parallel CLINs with adjusted quantities (minimum of 1 and maximum of 2,000 units per CLIN). All parts must meet MIL-STD-171 specifications per the notes referenced on individual part drawings, with minimum shipment quantities of 250 units. Salt fog testing per MIL-STD-810 Method 509.5 is required, consisting of two 96-hour exposure cycles with alternating salt fog challenge and drying periods, with acceptance criteria requiring no deformation, cracking, or flaking of the final coating.
